TWNIC played a key role in overseeing critical Internet resources allocation and root zone management in the Domain Name System (DNS), TWNIC worked closely with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and Asia Pacific Network Centre (APNIC) to manage the resources and promote the adoption of new policies and protocols.
